In literally the best movie ever: Kung Fu Panda 2, the main character Po (the panda) is having some questions about who he is and where he came from. He went to his Dad who was a goose and was like "Dad where did I come from?" and his Dad was like "Well Son... You know there is an egg... and don't ask me where the egg comes from!" and Po is like "No Dad where did I REALLY come from?" And his Dad tells him how as a goose he did not actually give birth to a panda, and about this random radish basket that just randomly got dropped off right behind his restaurant that Po was in, and then Po was like "I knew it." and his dad was like "how, who told you?" and Po is like "come on dad, I mean your a goose" anyways, I could quote this scene word for word with ease but that is for another time. But Po eventually finds out that his parents were killed (actually not Po's dad but we don't find that out till the end of the movie...

Sometimes things just don't go as well as you would like. Like this week. Judas, this week was pretty tough. Lots of our friends don't want to meet anymore, it is getting cold here (like 50 degrees, but in my defense my body has adapted to the warmth), and for most of the week I felt like I was just a terrible missionary. Elder Campbell isn't really the guy to talk to if you're having a hard time, so for most of this week I have felt alone and I have just been missing you guys a lotttttt. But I realized something today as I was sitting in urgent care getting something checked out. If you choose to focus on the hard things in your life, your life will become harder. If you choose to focus and to be thankful about the happy things, your life will become happier. In my opinion, Thanksgiving is no time to celebrate the Mayflower or whatever the ship was called, it is a time to be thankful for what you have. This Thanksgiving I am grateful for YOU! Heavens, I am extremely grateful to be where I am right now. I really like it here in Texas. I have had a grand total of 2 negative conversations in my entire time here, because everyone is just so nice. I hear in California people are so mean and like make fun of you and come up and film you (not surprised), I bet they do that in places like Portland and Boston and New Jersey and Finlandddd probably smh. But my dislike for those places is a conversation for another day. The point I am making is that the Lord knows where each and every person needs to be. Whether you are a powerful warrior missionary who can survive that type of biome (like my boys who I miss greatly @Elder Molen and Springer and Francom and Washenko and everyone else who I am forgetting who is serving there lol) or a mere mortal who really appreciates a place where people are nice and friendly, and since people are so nice and friendly there you are able to be like 5x better of a missionary with that love around you (...

It frankly does not matter at all how dark of a night you are in, or how hard the fight you find yourself in. He will rescue you. I've seen some pretty dark nights out here and some pretty hard fights and I have literally seen Jesus Christ rescue each and everyone of these people who are willing to be rescued. It's great. Don't be surprised if me and Lauren Daigle are eternally wedded in the next 8 years.
