WEEK 77 - The Biggest Loser

Hello I love all of you and hope life has been just lovely for you! I was loitering in a dang Wing Stop doing some studies and I caught a glimpse of the Chiefs game. Goodness me. "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you" I've never thought about the play Les Mis before this week, but heavens, I have been thinking about it. There is this part where the main character, Jean Veljean who just got out of prison, is let into a Priest's home and he decides to steal a bunch of the Priest's valuable possessions and run. He ends up getting caught by the fuzz and they send him back to the Priest's house to return the stuff before he goes back to prison. When they bring him back to the priest, the priest says something like "oh those were gifts to him, but you forgot these super nice candles I wanted to give you as well. Go on your way" and he is freed. The priest chose Jean Veljean, and after that point he went and did amazing things for the rest of his ...

WEEK 76 - Oil Rigs

Henry Horsley Mon, Jan 20, 12:25 PM to bcc: me My heavens I just found out about ground turkey, and this thang is no joke. Just when I thought the week couldn't get any better, ground turkey mosies it's way into my life. God is good. Also I love u all and hope everything is going swell in your life! For the spiritual thought I wanted to talk about a question that is one of the most important questions we could discuss: What scriptural evdience do we have of foreordination? To answer this question we should start by diving head first into Deuteronomy 7. Ok I'm just yanking your chain, as gripping of a topic that might've been I actually wanna talk about something super simple that has blessed me a ton recently, and that is trying to find the good in everyone. "PLEASE LISTEN CAREFULLY: If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy that we can say about another person - whether to his face or behind her back - that should be our standard...

WEEK 75 -

What is up family and friends! This week has been super good other than it being a waxing gibbous, Elder MacDonald is unpredictable during times of waxing gibbous. I've been feeling so much love recently and have decided that love is how I want to model the rest of my life. "A man filled with the love of God, is not content with blessing his family alone, but ranges through the whole world, anxious to bless the whole human race." - Joseph Smith Brother Joseph couldn't have been any more correct. When someone truly feels the love of God, they change and become something better. That change fills them with God's love, and just like God they have no choice but to spread it to everyone they can. Feeling the love of God has changed everything in my life and I am eternally grateful for that. I was shackled by the chains of selfishness, lust, pride, and anger for so long, but because of the love of God I now feel free. All the devil wants is to put as many chains on yo...

WEEK 74 - Berlin Wall

Hello my loved ones! Hope everyone's week was swell! We got transfer news and I am staying with Elder MacDonald for anotha one here which I am just tickled about I am baffled that it is already 2025. For the new year our mission president gave us a pretty neat challenge. He challenged us not only to make a new year goal, but to also make a lifelong goal. I already have a lot of lifelong goals like getting married and having a family, starting an orthodontic empire, going to space (I will legit do this one I'm not joshing), and many other goals. I was thinking of being super basic and using the family one, but I decided there is something I want even more than that. And that is charity, the most precious gift of them all. I can have everything that I have ever wanted if the Lord will give this gift to me, and if He wills, I will give all I can to those in need. There was this quote from a talk by Jeffery R Holland that really hit me hard. He is describing Thomas S Monson and I ...
