WEEK 90 - Shoulda Got The Fajitas

Image
Hello family and friends! I hope you all had a great week! My week was better this week which was huge, thank you everyone for your prayers I love you! Genesis 1: 3-4 "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness." I love that God saw the light and recognized that it was good. Everyone of us has felt the darkness that comes from not feeling like you're enough, or being lonely, or losing someone you love, and it is a miserable feeling. I believe we have all felt the light too. God could've left everything dark, but He intentionally added the light cause He knows it's good. I believe that God doesn't just ever leave someone in complete darkness. There are always flashes of light that are there to give us hope. Those flashes of light keep me going and I am so grateful for them. There is gonna be some SERIOUS natural lighting in my future home holy crap. Here is my we...

WEEK 89 - Me And Peter Chen Reunite

Hello all of my loved ones I hope you've had a great week! Jesus came in the "fourth watch of the night" (3-6 AM) to his disciples when they were out on the wave tossed sea. I imagine the disciples around the end of the second watch of the night (9-12) were full of hope that Jesus was gonna come and help them. I bet during the third watch of the night they started to recognize the darkness and danger that was around them, I imagine that was a very scary thing. I can only imagine that right before He came they felt full of fear, abandoned, and broken, and they probably started to doubt that He was gonna come to save them. The great thing is that He did come to them. I believe even in our darkest moments, in our own "fourth watches of the night", He will come to us, no matter how storm tossed the sea is. My sea has been very rough and dark as of recently, but I believe He will come to me and save me. I believe He will come to you as well, so do not lose hope. I ...

WEEK 88 - Eras Tour

Hey everyone! I hope your week has been glorious, I love you and I miss you! President Nelson's talk during conference slapped. In his talk he so directly just told everyone that we are in desperate need of charity and virtue. I feel like the world is starving for charity and virtue. We have so many things as human beings. Like entertainment instantly whenever we want it, great food, beautiful places, dope technology, the entire Kung fu Panda trilogy, and many other things. But all these things that we consider precious to us cannot fill us like charity and virtue can. I have felt recently like there has been a hole in my heart and I have not been able to fill it. So just like my amazing friend Tanner Shallenberger, I'm gonna rededicate myself to filling that hole with charity and virtue. I'm very hopeful that those two things can fill the holes in everyone's heart. The mission has been good but testing recently, and now the biggest test of my mission is upon me... In...

WEEK 87 - Smoke Shop

Hi everyone, I love and miss you! The mission has been wonderous this week. My new comp is a legend who goes by the name of Elder Duersch. He's from Logan Utah, likes onewheeling, owns a gold 2003 Chrysler Town and Country 3.6 liter V6 engine minivan, and is loving the YSA life. I'm a big Elder Duersch fan. My entire mission I thought that my mission would be light work once I hit 18 months. False. It has been a beast recently and there are tons of factors why, but something that has been helping me a ton is remembering my purpose and why I am actually here. I was so caught up in a bunch of side quests of being a missionary like making sure everyone liked me and knew I was a great missionary, or being such a good missionary that my future wife is super hot, but in the end those things are not why I am really here. I am here to invite others to come unto Christ, and literally zero percent of that is about me. In life we get so caught up on the things we think actually matter, b...
